Football Games, Reviews, Competitions, oh my!

(me and some gal friends letting our friend know he's loved
while waiting for our rides late at night)

Hahaha this past week has been awesome! At the Weber Review, the girls got to change into our uniforms on the bus first, but a guy in our band had gotten his uniform stuck! We laughed and yelled at him until he finally got it unstuck and ran off the bus. Too bad he wasn't a freshman...that would have made it way funnier XD We played pretty well...I had to tap the band on AND off the field, which totally caught me by surprise, but other than that, it was way amazing!

Then I almost died at the football game...hahaha one of my friends, Angela, made me laugh SOOOO much that everyone thought I would pass out. It was so funny! I've never had that much fun at a football game! Lol I love my band geeks ^_^

And the Nebo Competition was on Saturday. We got there, suited up, warmed up, and listened to our band song (Winners Take All, I think it's called). Then we marched out onto the field. I had to tap us onto the field again. I'm starting to wonder if my director is going to have me tap all the time now...lol I sort of hope not. But we played a LOT better at Nebo than we did at Weber! The bass solo was a little etchy, but otherwise I was very proud of my section :D And once again, a boy got stuck on the bus as the girls were changing. This time it WAS a freshman, and he ran off the bus with his hands over his eyes, so it was freakin HILARIOUS!!!!! I hope that the rest of the competitions are as epic as this one was!

Preview of what's to come...

Oh my goodness! Fall Season has almost OFFICIALLY officially started! The Weber Review is tomorrow! That's when we go to Weber State's stadium and perform our show for 5 or so judges who judge on General Effect, Music, Percussion, Colorguard, and Marching. They tell us what looks good with our show and what we can do to make it better. I'm actually pretty nervous. Not because of the music or marching. I think we're pretty decent with that. A little shaky on our bass solo, but other than that we sound and look good. The thing is - I have to tap the band off the field. Traditionally the bassline section leader (which is me) keeps time with their drum as the band marches off the field after they perform. I totally botched it this morning, so I'm afraid I might do the same tomorrow...hahaha well wish us luck! Go SHS Band Geeks!

Let's get it started in here!

Heyhey everyone! I was told to start writing a blog, so I thought, why not do it about my biggest passion in the whole wide world...DRUMLINE!!! Yessir I am literally a drummer at heart, and I let it show everywhere - whether it be on the field, in the classroom, or even just on a table, you'll always hear me tapping!
This is a pic of me and some friends hiking the Goosenecks of the San Juan. Can you guess which one's me? :P
